DRAMA SPORTS DAY
We are all used to having an Athletics Sports Day and a Swimming Sports Day in the school Calndar.......but why not also include a Drama Sports Day where all of your creative students can shine bright.
TYCs team of theatre facilitators will work with your students on the unique techniques involved in Improvisation through numerous theatrical activities. After their group training sessions, students will perform in numerous comedic and melodramatic improvised scenes that are chosen by our 3 lovely TYC judges! Then all students will theatrically race for the winning title of Drama Sports Champions finishing with a presentation for the Winners Trophy!

A great opportunity for some improvisati-onal fun and for other members of the school community to cheer on their favourite team/house/colour and watch to see who will claim the title!
Their in-class training provides participants with the ability to think under pressure, develop their creativity and much more.

AUSTRALIAN HISTORY
Creatively explore your classroom curriculum through TYC’s scripted Australian History one-act play-texts, including Ned Kelly, The Wild Colonial Boy, Waltzing Matilda and many more. Students will travel though the dramatic process of rehearsing a one-act play and investigate kinaesthetically their subject matter. They will then perform for family & friends in TYCs Adventure Theatre at the end of the program with costumes, lighting, sound and cinematic effects. They will also be marked against the criteria by TYCs registered QCT drama teacher.

Residency Details
Cost: $65 (inc GST) per student
Capacity: Minimum of 15 students
Duration: Full Term / 1.5hr per week

CREATIVE DAY CAMPS
Journey through the dramatic process with either short scripts or improvised scenarios and perform for your class at the end of the day. An extension of this program is students writing their own scripts with TYCs Resident Playwright.
